We here at Cortez Quilt Company have been following the news of the Coronavirus just like you all have.

We want to emphasize that we are open, and continue to monitor this situation constantly. We have adjusted our classes/events to follow the current guideline of 10 people or less in an area. Please see below for exact details of changes.

We are so thankful for each of you, and for your support during this difficult time.
For your convenience, if you prefer to not come in to shop, you can place your order and we are more than happy to help in one of the following ways:
~ We can meet you at the curb
~ We can deliver within a 10 mile radius
~ We can ship anywhere

To Place an order, you can do the following:

Phone Cortez Quilt Company and More ~ 970-565-7541
Email Aimee ~ [email protected]

We also want to let you know that we take the health of our customers and staff very seriously, so in accordance with CDC and other health professional recommendations, we have instituted the following protocols:

We ask all of you, including staff, to stay home if you:
Have a fever
Have cold/flu symptoms
Are, or think you may be sick.

We have always thoroughly cleaned our stores, however we are now cleaning our frequently utilized areas (register counters, bathrooms, beverage areas) multiple times per day.  This also includes our commonly used instruments (pens, rotary cutter, rulers, etc)

We are cleaning the classroom tables and chairs after every use.

We are washing our hands multiple times per day and have hand sanitizer available for staff and customers.

Regretfully, we have cancelled tomorrow's Third Thursday Demo, along with our Art/Landscape Group, Blocks Without Borders. This was a necessary step to maintain  the social distancing guidelines.

Ann Haspels has agreed to return at a later date for her presentation on hand quilting.

We have a new plan in place to celebrate!
Instead of a single day, we are expanding to:

Worldwide Quilting Week!

Watch for a daily email starting next Tuesday, March 24th - Saturday, March 28th.
We plan to bring you special offers and plenty of things to look forward to each day.
Just be sure to remember to check your email each day, as that day's specials will only apply on that particular day.

We can't wait, and hope this celebration will be an encouragement to all of us!

KimberBear Challenge

Kimberbell has created a stuffed bear design that can be made either in the embroidery hoop, or as a sewing version with your sewing machine. Kimberbell's hope is that we will use this design to create these stuffed bears to give to children in challenging situations ...a friend that they can love and hug. These can be donated to hospitals, foster homes, or any other setting that will help children going through trying times. These can also be given as gifts in nursing homes. The goal is to see how many of these we can make and distribute throughout the community to those who will most benefit from them.

Cortez Quilt Company has chosen the Child Advocacy Center to donate our bears to. The Advocacy Center is very excited to have these bears to give out to their kiddos in need.

To make things even more exciting, Cortez Quilt Company is challenging the store in Farmington, to see which store can donate the most bears. Naturally, we would like to win this challenge, so we would REALLY appreciate is for all of our ladies to come together with us to produce many more of these bears than the ladies in Farmington could possibly produce. If you would like to make some of these in the hoop, but do not have an embroidery machine, stop by the store and we’ll set you up with a demo machine so that you can make one, or more!

Let’s show the community how much love can come from a sewing machine!
