KIMBERBEAR CHALLENGE

KimberBear Challenge

Kimberbell has created a stuffed bear design that can be made either in the embroidery hoop, or as a sewing version with your sewing machine. Kimberbell's hope is that we will use this design to create these stuffed bears to give to children in challenging situations ...a friend that they can love and hug. These can be donated to hospitals, foster homes, or any other setting that will help children going through trying times. These can also be given as gifts in nursing homes. The goal is to see how many of these we can make and distribute throughout the community to those who will most benefit from them.

Cortez Quilt Company has chosen the Child Advocacy Center to donate our bears to. The Advocacy Center is very excited to have these bears to give out to their kiddos in need.

To make things even more exciting, Cortez Quilt Company is challenging the store in Farmington, to see which store can donate the most bears. Naturally, we would like to win this challenge, so we would REALLY appreciate is for all of our ladies to come together with us to produce many more of these bears than the ladies in Farmington could possibly produce. If you would like to make some of these in the hoop, but do not have an embroidery machine, stop by the store and we’ll set you up with a demo machine so that you can make one, or more!

Let’s show the community how much love can come from a sewing machine!
