The Quilter program is a powerful tool for designing your own quilts. You can import fabrics, add embroidery or applique, and design your own quilting designs. You will explore what the Quilter program can accomplish! We will also be discussing a mastery program that we are going to utilize for the remainder of the year. Be sure to bring your candy cane samples that you have stitched out to share with everyone!

Two Sessions – Wednesday, January 15 & 22, 2020

In this course you will learn to master your BERNINA sewing machine. Learn to care for your machine, and how to use specialty functions to customize your machine’s setting’s to your needs. You will learn to use the most important utility stitches on your machine, along with the many creative options your machine offers, including decorative stitches, combi-mode, free-motion stitching and more. We will work step by step through hands-on activities using the My BERNINA Sewing Mastery Workbook.

Creating Impressionist Landscape Quilts

Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Learn to create a landscape quilt using your own photo. You’ll learn to make a quilt pattern from your photo and to create your image in fabric using raw edge applique. We’ll talk about composition, color, and fabric choices that work well in translating your photo into a a quilt and you’ll get started on creating your own unique quilt. If landscapes don’t float your boat but flowers do, you can work from a close-up photo of a flower to create a flower portrait in this class.

Susan has now added a finishing class to instruct students how to quilt their project. See below for more info.

BERNINA Embroidery Club Multi-hooping

Learn or perfect your multi-hooping skills. This class is important to attend so that you will understand how to multi-hoop for projects that we will be doing throughout the year.You will also learn a fun and unique technique for creating trapunto with your embroidery machine. You will fall in love with the dimension you can achieve with this project! We will stitch a “CREATE” wall hanging that finishes 7”x36”. Designs will fit in a 5” x 5” hoop.
