All forms of consciousness will be explored including cultural and social representations.  Don’t miss this opportunity to see with fresh eyes.

Cortez Quilt Company and More is excited to join forces with The Fabric Shop Network, who is proud to be a national sponsor of National Tie One on Day. Before Thanksgiving, women across the country will be celebrating the day by wrapping a loaf of bread, a pie, or another dessert in an apron, tucking a prayer or a note of encouragement in the pocket, and then delivering the bundle to someone in need of physical or spiritual sustenance—or both. What could be nicer than receiving such a gift—and handmade at that?

 How To Take Part

If you know someone in our quilting community that could especially use some cheer, please call Cortez Quilt Company and More to put them on our list to receive an apron, dessert, and a note letting them know that they are being thought of.

Sew an apron either at home or join us during an Open Sew Day. These aprons will then be delivered to the recipients on Tuesday, November 26th.

Do you love to bake? We would be grateful if you would be willing to bake an extra pie, or other baked goods to be given along with the apron.

For more info, be sure to call us!

The Big Question; The Big Reveal!

NOVEMBER 22 & 23, 2019

Friends, Customers, Friends of Customers, and anybody else interested or not, the big question lately has been, “When are you guys going to FINALLY open the store in Farmington?” Well, we’ll spare you the boring excuses and legitimate reasons that we were not able to open around the first of November as we had hoped and planned. We have been spending much time in Farmington getting the store ready to go, and we’ve seen many of you, many whom we have never even met or seen before, drive by straining your necks for a glimpse of fresh new fabrics and machines. So, for the sake of saving you thousands in chiropractic bills, we will be opening the store for limited business this Friday, November 22. Our store hours initially will be Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 5:30 pm, and
Saturdays 10 am to 5:00 pm. Initially we will be open primarily for machine sales and service, so feel free to bring your machines in for repair, or just for a regular service check-up. We pride ourselves on having a turn around of 2-3 days on machine service, with repairs sometimes taking longer if we need to order parts.

With the Holiday Season upon us, BERNINA has several specials going on over the next month, and we are excited to share with you all the info. One of the best deals BERNINA is offering is an unprecedented offer of over $5000 worth of free accessories if you purchase a top of the line embroidery machine between now and December 31. As if that isn’t already a sweet enough deal, we offer additional support that makes your value for your machine much greater than you’ll find anywhere else. Besides thorough mastery classes that are broken up into bite size chunks to teach you every thing your machine is capable of, we also provide AT NO EXTRA CHARGE a top-of-the-line loaner machine in the instance that yours will ever be down for more than a week for repairs. This guarantee is only offered to those who purchase top-of-the-line embroidery machines, so keep that in mind when you are deciding which machine is right for you. If you aren’t interested in the free accessories, you may get a free B700 embroidery only machine to go with your machine so that you have sewing and embroidery capabilities at the same time. On top of all of this, BERNINA is offering 60 month 0% interest financing from now until the end of the month. BERNINA has been having unprecedented sales of these machines the last couple of months, so come in early to order your machine to ensure that we can get your order placed early enough for a Christmas delivery of any machines that we don’t have in stock (and ours are selling out FAST!!!) We look forward to having all of our friends stop in on Friday or Saturday of this week (November 22 and 23) to see what we are doing, to share in our excitement for the big things coming, and to share with us your ideas of what you would like to see and do. Since we are giving away a B475 sewing machine for Christmas this year (no purchase necessary), we will give double the entry just for walking into the Farmington store on either, or both, of these days!

November 29 & 30, 2019

Everyone has indicated excitement over the classes and events that will be offered. We will be revealing a list of our first upcoming classes. Sign up early to make sure you get in the classes you are most interested in!

Be sure to purchase a class pass while you’re in so that you can get into any of the upcoming classes. Class passes will be going up to $77 on January 1, 2020 from the current rate of $69, so purchase them now to lock in that lower rate! You will  receive DOUBLE the points for your class pass on your loyalty card = 140 points!
Class Passes are not activated until you attend your first class.

To amp up the excitement level even HIGHER (is that possible?), we will be revealing select new fabric collections that were specially ordered just for our Farmington store on November 29 and 30! You aren’t likely to see any of these fabrics anywhere else for at least a couple of months, and they are of styles and interests that we know our Farmington friends share. These fabrics will sell out fast, but don’t worry, we have more on order and will continue bringing them in as quickly as we can take delivery. We will also issue double points on your loyalty card for any purchases made on these two days.

Please stop in and say, “Hi” to Cassidy and myself this week.

Thank you! Cassidy and I look forward to visiting with you!  - Todd

We will be closed for Thanksgiving, and hope you enjoy the day with family, friends, and food! We will look forward to seeing you Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. We are very thankful for each one of you!
