Last Saturday was the annual Cortez Pumpkin Fest Trick-or-Treat on Main Street event. The kiddos are always so much fun - we handed out candy to around 600 kids! We embroidered this fun, 3-D Pirate Ship from OESD, so all staff naturally had to dress like pirates. |

This design should help get us all in the mood to usher in the upcoming holiday season. We will stitch out this fun design and create a fun t-towel that will be festive in your own home. Plus your kit will come with a second towel, so you will be ready to make another one to give as a gift.
Have you been wondering how machine embroidery works? No problem! We will have a couple of spots available for you, along with use of one of our machines! |
COLD & FLU SEASON We have several customers who are going through chemotherapy, or have weakened immune systems. Kindly, we ask that if you are sick, please wait to come into the store when no longer contagious. Every winter, we have customers who are sick and take the day off, but come in to the store to grab what they need. (Don't worry, we don't tell!) Plus we understand that sewing/quilting are the best medicine for any ailment! However, please call us. We will gather what you need, and either have it ready for you at the door, or we will deliver it to you.
Likewise, we make every attempt to have staff take the day off if they are sick - we don't want to share with anyone either. Thank you for understanding and working with us. |
This collection is appropriately called "Desert Dream". We love how it showcases our nearby landscape. We made a tote bag as a sample, but this fabric will go wonderfully with whatever you create with it. |

Tula Pink is an illustrator, a fabric designer, a quilter, an author, a maker and artist. Tula's main function in life is fabric design. She lives for it. Her signature designs have been adapted to fabrics, woven ribbons, paper products, needlepoint kits, embroidery patterns and sewing machines and can be found in independent fabric shops and retailers all over the world. Tula is most recognized in her industries for her dark sense of humor, a flair for hiding animals in the strangest of places (artistically, not literally) and her boldly unique use of color and pattern. Tula comes from the "more is more" school of design where there is never enough space and always room for that one last thing. |
Our sample does a great job showcasing all of the bolts we have. We adapted this quilt pattern to make a bed runner, but is stunning as a quilt. Be sure to come by and check out this fun collection. |
