Have you ever wanted to learn to sew? Now is your chance! We are participating in a nationwide initiative to teach people how to sew. It is a 6 week program (you can attend whichever classes you want). There is a $5 fee/class and any additional supplies will be available for under $20 each class. Blocks Without Borders – Special Program, “Surface Design” by Janet Huffman

1:00 p.m. Blocks Without Borders (an Art & Landscape Society) meets on the Third Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. Prepare to exchange ideas, along with giving and receiving inspiration. Don’t forget to bring your Show-N-Tell! We will have a door prize! No RSVP necessary. This meeting usually lasts about an hour. In June, Janet Huffman will be presenting a special program on Surface Design. She will have samples of the following: Copic Markers, Tsukiniko Inks, Bleach Pens, Paint Sticks, and Fabric Paints. Those attending will get to use the Bleach Pens for a discharge die technique, and dyeing muslin with shaving cream and Tsukiniko Inks – You won’t want to miss this!! |

Skill Level: Intermediate, Intro to Ruler Work Class a prerequisite This program offers a great opportunity to learn how to quilt with rulers. Shanna Stordahl of Hesperus Colorado will be leading this fun and educational project. Shanna has this broken down into a four part block of the month enabling you to have a completed project in a relatively short period of time, while also learning a new technique.
