Using the BERNINA Circular Embroidery Attachment offers designer circular embellishments with decorative stitches, appliqué, couching, quilting and more. An attachment that works with most stitches, most presser feet and many techniques, it’s a tool worth learning about. Works with all BERNINA machines. Join us on Tuesday evening, June 20, to learn more about BERNINA Designer Plus V.8 software. We will have an extra-long class (5-9 p.m.) to cover more than one lesson. Bring your laptop loaded with the Designer Plus software, a USB stick for copies of the lessons, and completed or in-progress projects for show and tell. Embroidery Make & Take: Double Pocket Pouch with Embroidered Design

Make this cute embroidered pouch with us on June 27. It a pocket on both sides and a pouch in between. Carry up to three pairs of glasses at one time!

Bring to class: Machine with embroidery unit, large oval hoop with plastic template, USB stick to transfer design (design provided).

Supplies needed: Supplied needed: Two fat quarters, 5/8 yard LUXE Allure Extra Firm Interfacing (LX834), Heavy Weight tear-away stabilizer (10″ x 22″). We have all supplies in stock.

Embroidery Block of The Month

Charmed Adventure Embroidery Block of the Month Sign Up
Saturday, June 17, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

We are excited to offer our first Embroidery Block of the Month. The design is Charmed Adventure by Hoopsisters. There is no better way to learn about your embroidery machine and improve your skills than by participating in a block of the month. And you will have a gorgeous quilt when you are done.

Charmed Adventure is a five-month program, however we are offering classes for seven months to allow you to skip two months and still keep up. The blocks are all created and quilted in the hoop. Charmed Adventure features a center medallion that is paper-pieced and then embroidered. The finished quilt size will depend on the size of blocks (5” – 9”) that you decide to make.

We will have a sample of the Charmed Adventure Quilt in the shop for approximately a week (including June 17). Additional quilt block samples will be available as we complete them.

Fee: $150 if you register in person or by phone on or before June 17. After June 17 registration is $165. Fee includes designs, videos, and slideshows.

Optional border design: $69.

You must attend the monthly classes to receive the designs.

Fabric requirements and thread key are available here. Purchase your fabric, thread, and stabilizer at Cortez Quilt Company before September 1 and receive a 10% discount.

The first class will be held on Sunday, September 10 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. You should bring your embroidery machine to this session. Subsequent classes will be scheduled on days other than Sunday (dates to be determined). In these classes we will watch the lesson and hand out designs for that month.
