Mystery Quilt: Clue #3

Here is the second clue for our original mystery quilt - Mystery in the Southwest: A Three-Fabric Throw. The quilt uses a total of 4 3/8 yards of fabric (not including backing), finishes at 53" x 53", and is suitable for confident beginner quilters and above.

Click here to download clue #3.

Next week . . . Clue #4 (there are five total). Stay tuned. We'll have a contest before the last clue to challenge you to solve the mystery before seeing the final layout.

If you missed the first clue, it's on the homepage of our website.

New Fabric

Australian prints continue to intrigue. Here's a small sample from the new shipment we received last week.

These prints make up beautifully in quilts, bags, umbrellas, and more.

This hasn't been quilted yet but it's already gorgeous. A panel was cut into 12 sections, window sashing was added, then the border and - voila - a beautiful summer wall hanging or throw quilt for your home. It will have black binding once it's quilted. We have the panels and kits in stock.

Third Thursday Demo - May 18
How do you organize your sewing area?

We're doing something special for our May Third Thursday Demo, and it involves you! We will be discussing and showing how we organize our sewing areas and fabric stashes. Bring your best ideas to share and gather new ones from others. Please take photos of your organization techniques and your sewing area and email them to us no later than Saturday, May 13 at 6 p.m. We'll put together a slide show. When you send photos, please put your full name in the subject line of the email. BONUS . . . take a before and after photo of your sewing room - cleaning and organizing in between the two photos - and you'll receive an extra door prize ticket on Demo Day.
