2017 Preview: Classes and More
We're hard at work on a robust class schedule and other fun events for 2017. Here are some highlights.
In our new series - Little Quilts - make these cute wall hangings to display each month in your home or office. There are three options: 12" square quilt to hang on a stand, 12" x 16" with the month included at the bottom, or you can add an optional calendar holder. We'll do January on 1/6, February on 1/27, and then monthly thereafter to stay one month ahead of the calendar. These are simple applique projects that can easily be made in one session. Do one, two, three or all twelve.
On the first Saturday of each month we'll offer three-hour Make & Take classes in the morning and Youth Classes in the afternoon. Make & Take sessions will run from 9:30 - 12:30, and the class fee is only $10 plus supplies. On January 7 we'll make Take Four placemats. The Youth Classes will be held from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. They are $25 with all supplies included. The January youth project is in the works.
Look for our new series of Skill Builder sessions in both the quilt and yarn departments. These will usually be half-day sessions (occasionally all day) where you'll learn an intermediate or advanced quilting, sewing, or knitting technique.
Our classes are limited to 6-8 students (minimum of three) depending on the complexity of the project. If we don't have at least three students signed up for a class 48 hours in advance of the start time, the class will be cancelled or rescheduled. This applies to both quilt and yarn shop classes. Avoid disappointment by signing up early.
Did you know that you can take unlimited classes at Cortez Quilt Company for three months for only $69? Purchase a Class Pass anytime. It’s activated when you take your first class and expires three months later. Some restrictions apply. Click here to see the current class schedule.
