This class keeps filling up, so it’s on the schedule again. Judy Bryan will teach on Friday, June 3. You can make the slippers and matching zippered carry bag from one pack of charm squares. Soft & Stable make the slippers comfy and non-skid fabric on the bottom make them safe to dash about the house in. These make great gifts.

Introduction to Lace Knitting
Friday May 6, 2016

In Introduction Lace Knitting you’ll learn the simple elements used to create light and delicate scarves and shawls that intrigue every knitter. This class is designed for those who have mastered knitting fundamentals (casting on, knit and purl stitches, and binding off). You will need fingering or DK weight yarn (in a light color) and needles in size 4 or 5 to create a beautiful lace bookmark. Guest teacher Dana Jensen will be your instructor.

Embroidery Class

These in-the-hoop zipper pouches are PERFECT for organizing small items. The flying geese blocks stitch out with perfect little points and the entire pouch has a nice tailored look. Each zipper pouch is lined and shows no raw seams. What a great way to learn or become more proficient at piecing in the hoop.

Hoop Size for the SMALL Pouch: 5x7 hoop (Embroidery Field Needed: 4.65 x 6.81)

Hoop Size for the MEDIUM Pouch: 6x10 hoop (Embroidery Field Needed: 5.77 x 9.44)

Many of our customers are familiar with Michelle Watts. We've been carrying her beautiful Southwest patterns for years and have several samples in the shop made from them. Join us on Thursday, May 12 at 6 p.m. for a trunk show featuring Michelle and her work. She will show quilts and wearable art and have her entire pattern line available. The trunk show is free but seats are limited, so pre-registration is required.
