QUILT RECEPTION - CORTEZ

We are so happy to invite you to a special evening out!
Our Art & Landscape Group, Blocks Without Borders, will be having a
"Quilt Reception" to display all their projects they have been designing over the last couple of years. Attendees will also be able to view member's special quilt that was created to depict scenes from Montezuma County's history. This quilt will eventually hang in the new Montezuma Heritage Museum.

Join us at Quilted Corners as we embark on educational Block of the Month Program where you will do tons of fun things with your machine, your presser feet, and decorative stitches! If things like fringe, couching, applique, piping, pintucks, circle embroidery and bobbin work sound intriguing, then this is for you!

Quilted Corners Farmington will be offering BERNINA Machine Mastery Classes every Tuesday throughout the month of August. These classes will be offered at 10:30am and 5:00pm. If you have a 4, 5, 7, or 8 series machine that you would like to learn how to use better and more completely, be sure to call the store at 505-325-9358 to reserve a spot. The first 2 Tuesdays will be for sewing mastery; the second 2 Tuesdays will be for embroidery mastery. We look forward to helping you become friends with your current model BERNINA. |

Learn to create a landscape quilt using your own photo. You’ll learn to make a quilt pattern from your photo and to create your image in fabric using raw edge applique. We’ll talk about composition, color, and fabric choices that work well in translating your photo into a a quilt and you’ll get started on creating your own unique quilt. If landscapes don’t float your boat but flowers do, you can work from a close-up photo of a flower to create a flower portrait in this class. |
