STITCHER'S GARDEN

Join us as we embark on educational Block of the Month Program where you will do tons of fun things with your machine, your presser feet, and decorative stitches! If things like fringe, couching, applique, piping, pintucks, circle embroidery and bobbin work sound intriguing, then this is for you!

Classes will be held virtually on Zoom the third Saturday of each month. You can also watch the recorded version at your convenience.
Plan to learn and sew along!

We look forward to any and all would-be art and landscape quilters joining us. 

Our casual format is open to sharing ideas and learning about any and all manner of ways of turning fabric into art!

• Our monochromatic landscape challenge is complete with varied and stunning results and lots of learning for all participants. We'll be happy to display these when things open up a bit more. 

• Our current "Portrait Challenge" is due by the March meeting. Check out Leni Levenson Wiener's technique or Lea McComas's very helpful YouTube classes for a bit of guidance.

• Our next challenge is " Fabulous Flower Photo Quilt" using Melinda Bula's technique. Her class is available at www.iquilt.com/course/fabulous-flower-photo-quilts/. This challenge is due by the May meeting.

• Colleen Barnett will be sharing her stunning thread painting technique at a future meeting to be announced. 

• Lou Ann Ball is researching Emily Taylor's work with collage and color and will present her findings for a possible future class/challenge.

Definition = “a gathering characterized usually by informal conversation” – we are just adding the sewing part!

An informal gathering for sewists, quilters, embroiderers and just plain crafty folk to gather monthly on the last Wednesday of each month 10 a.m. – 12 noon to sew together in the privacy of their own homes via zoom. A creative free-for-all and a fun time together to share sewing ideas, dreams and frustrations or just sew away and listen to the conversations and comments. Each month we will have something ridiculously funny and interesting to chat about too!
