Definition = “a gathering characterized usually by informal conversation” – we are just adding the sewing part!

An informal gathering for sewists, quilters, embroiderers and just plain crafty folk to gather monthly on the last Wednesday of each month 9 a.m. – 12 noon to sew together in the privacy of their own homes via zoom. A creative free-for-all and a fun time together to share sewing ideas, dreams and frustrations or just sew away and listen to the conversations and comments. Each month we will have something ridiculously funny and interesting to chat about too!

 Don't miss this NEW way we can be together, sew together and have fun together! Mark your calendars now for January 27th 9-12.

*We have limited openings available*
Please call ASAP to reserve your spot!

Experience the joy of creativityTM with Kimberbell and your favorite quilt shop! Through our new Fill in the Blank program, participating shops combine specific Kimberblanks with FREE, coordinating designs for sewing and machine embroidery. Enjoy learning techniques and trying new products through these exclusive machine embroidery designs and sewing patterns.

 We are excited to let you know that both our stores will be participating!

We will offer this program as a monthly "virtual" club. You can either join the:
* Sewing Club
* Machine Embroidery Club

Join the fun no matter where you live... classes will be all taught online!

You will receive a FREE & exclusive monthly design, with the purchase of that month's "Kimberblank". Cost per month will vary, but will run approximately $20.00. There are optional supplies (glitter sheets, crochet trim, etc) that you may want to add.

Please call to reserve your spot to ensure we have your supplies. We do need a commitment of three months according to this Kimberbell program.

This Club is open to all makes/models of machines… customer must have general knowledge of how their machine/embroidery module work.

• The Monochromatic Landscape Challenge due date is January 21st. Several over achievers have already completed them (spectacular stuff) but let's have a look at all of them then and if possible, please send photos to Aimee for the newsletter and CQC website.

• Regarding our selected online classes, it turns out that the Marilyn Belford portrait class is for (high) intermediate level skills and is a bit of a stretch for some of us (including me!) so if you are signed up and chugging happily along with it - please continue. If you would like to try something more for beginning portrait level skills (or those not wishing to up their anxiety levels!)  try using Leni Levenson Wieners book "Pictorial Art Quilt Guide" . CQC has one copy of this left and we are sourcing more.  Marie Wirth, will talk about this process at our January meeting. Portrait challenge  is due by our March meeting.

• The Melinda Bula class  https://www.iquilt.com/course/fabulous-flower-photo-quilts/ is available whenever you want to watch it. She is a fun teacher and her method makes it look easy! This Flower challenge is due by the May meeting.

• Aimee is very keen to offer more Art and Landscape classes from CQC too, so stay tuned for offerings from the shop coming soon.
