This month you will find two feet for 25% off. Foot #6 and Foot #39 are both ideal for applique and decorative stitches, along with being used for simultaneous sewing of reinforced or elastic thread. Foot #6 also is a great foot of choice when couching with decorative yarns. Both feet can be used on 5.5 mm or 9 mm machines.

KimberBear Challenge Kimberbell has created a stuffed bear design that can be made either in the embroidery hoop, or with your sewing machine. Kimberbell's hope is that we will use this design to create these stuffed bears to give to children in challenging situations ...a friend that they can love and hug. These can be donated to hospitals, foster homes, or any other setting that will help children going through trying times. These can also be given as gifts in nursing homes. The goal is to see how many of these we can make and distribute throughout the community to those who will most benefit from them. Cortez Quilt Company has challenged Quilted Corners to see which store can produce the most of these adorable bears. They have chosen the Child Advocacy Center to donate theirs to. We have yet to determine which organization(s) to donate to, and would appreciate any suggestions. What we would REALLY appreciate though is for all of our ladies to come together with us to produce many more of these bears than the ladies in Cortez could possibly produce. If you would like to make some of these in the hoop, but do not have an embroidery machine, stop by the store and we’ll set you up with a demo machine so that you can make one, or more! Let’s show the community how much love can come from a sewing machine! Click here to see more about the Kimberbear, and to download your pattern.
