We teach this class about once a year. Make this handy item for your sewing room in under three hours. No homework and we have all the supplies needed to make project at the shop.

Block Lotto

Congratulations to Cindy Coffey who won the blocks from February. These will surely make a stunning quilt.

And here is our fabric for March Block Lotto. Come in to pick up your fabric pack today, make two blocks, and perhaps you'll be as lucky as Cindy!

BERNINA Club

Tuesday, March 8, 2016
1:30 p.m. OR 5:30 p.m. (same program, repeated)
Free ($5 supply fee for the photo if you stay to make the project)
NOTE MINOR TIME ADJUSTMENTS

Join us in creating a fun piece of art that can be incorporated into a bag or quilt, or make it to hang on your wall. We will begin with a video from a BERNINA educator (35 minutes) and then will try out the following techniques:

* Photo Printing
* Good Piecing Practices
* Free Motion Quilting
* Free Motion Couching

We will have a small supply of embellishments available for you to use, and you are encouraged to bring pieces of yarn, cording, buttons etc. to add to your project. If you would like to print a different photo (we'll have the one shown here available), we have specialty printing products available and will sell sheets individually for this project. Or we can print a photo for you if you drop it off by March 4.

Every BERNINA club includes a time for show and tell. Bring items you are working on or have completed for extra chances to win a door prize. We encourage non-BERNINA owners to attend these events. No matter which machine you own, you'll learn lots at BERNINA Club!

Please register in advance by calling 970-565-7541 or send an email to Cindy. Please indicate which session you plan to attend and if you will be making the project or staying only for the presentation.

March Presser Foot Special: Applique Foot #23

When it comes to appliqueing with a narrow satin-stitch (up to 2 mm), Applique foot # 23 is the one to use. Its sophisticated design allows fabric to feed easily over the stitches, even very dense rows of stitching. A cutout on the front of the presser foot will hold a narrow couching thread, making for trouble-free sewing of satin-stitching with cording. With its wide thread channel under the sole, Applique foot # 23 is also ideal for sewing mini-piping.

And since Applique foot # 23 features a clear sole, you’ll have a perfect view of the stitch area at all times – a decisive advantage, especially when following outlines and corners.

The regular price for this foot is $40. During March you can add it your collection for only $30.

New Fabric

This Americana style rooster panel arrived last week along with several coordinating bolts. Download a free placemat pattern here.

We also received one more new collection of blenders. Love the movement in this fabric.

Here's a close up so that you can see the design and scale.
