New Kit Available

This 57" x 81" quilt is called Sunrise Sunset. The pattern cover shows it made up in pastels but we chose Kansas Troubles for the sample and kit. The images never seem to do the samples justice so stop by the shop to see this pretty quilt in person. The fabrics are burgundy, navy, and dark green on a cream background. The kit is $112. Free shipping through this Saturday (11/7) if you mention that you saw it in the Quiltzette. Call 970-565-7541 to order.

Since the design is on a CD, be sure to bring a USB drive and we will transfer your pattern to your USB drive for you. As always, bring embroidered show and tell for an extra chance to win a door prize. Bring a snack or plan to order food from one of our neighboring restaurants. Row by Row

The 2015 blackout period is over and we can now sell our row pattern from this year. But we're not going to. Instead, you can have it for free! Click here to download. It's the first item under "Free Patterns." Note: We do NOT have kits for this row. The 2016 theme for Row by Row is "Home Sweet Home." Sounds like fun. Watch the newsletter for details before the event starts next summer.

Tip of the Week: Decorative Stitch Reference Log

How many decorative stitches will your sewing machine create? How many do you use regularly? Make full use of this wonderful feature on your machine by creating a stitch reference log. Here's one Cindy made this morning using ten stitches in one of the many stitch folders on a BERNINA 770 Quilters Edition. Only 273 more decorative stitches to go and we'll have a complete log!

Once you've made your stitches (and you don't necessarily have to do them in multiple colors), label each one with the stitch number. Size your fabric pieces to fit into an 8 1/2" x 11" plastic sleeves and keep everything neat and tidy in a three-ring binder.

Challenge . . . be the first person to bring in your completed decorative stitch reference guide (in a binder) and you'll receive a $20 gift certificate to the shop. Offer expires November 30.
