Now is the perfect time to learn how to do your own quilting! Ruler work is one of the biggest trends in quilting today. , and we are so excited to present this series of classes to you. We can order the rulers for you no matter what make and model of sewing machine you have.You will start to learn the basics of ruler work, and will go home with four different blocks. These four blocks are the first four that will be used in the Ruler Work Quilt As You Go Sampler Quilt.

During this multi-session class, participants will master the 12″ Arc Template, along with the Sampler Template Set, both of Westalee Designs. At the end of the series, students will have completed a 60″ X 72″ quilt that they have quilted themselves!



On Saturday, January 19th, 2019, we will be celebrating all things Australia. These fabrics are very loved by our customers, and now is the chance to come show off and show case the projects that you have created with them. As a special treat, we will have Mary Lucille of M&S Textiles here with a presentation of Australian fabrics and designers.

Embroidery Club – Quilting In The Hoop Point To Point Serving Strip

Simple piecing and quilting-in-the-hoop techniques make it quick to stitch and fun to make. Creating Impressionist Landscape Quilts

Learn to create a landscape quilt using your own photo. You’ll learn to make a quilt pattern from your photo and to create your image in fabric using raw edge applique. We’ll talk about composition, color, and fabric choices that work well in translating your photo into a a quilt and you’ll get started on creating your own unique quilt. If landscapes don’t float your boat but flowers do, you can work from a close-up photo of a flower to create a flower portrait in this class.

Learn the basics of free-motion quilting, how to get started, as well as a few practice tips and tricks. Learn beginning free-motion skills practicing simple wavy lines. Turn those wavy lines ito basic fillers such as meandering, pebbles, and swirly paisleys.

Class Policies

Classes are limited to 6-8 students (minimum of three) depending on the complexity of the project.

Class fees must be paid and any required pattern/book/notions must be purchased in advance to hold your space.

Store credit will be given for paid classes if you cancel and give 48 hours notice (otherwise, no credit). Refund or store credit (your choice) given for classes if we cancel due to lack of sign ups.

Bring your sewing machine and basic sewing supplies (scissors, seam ripper, straight pins, etc.) to class. If you prefer, you may use one of our BERNINA classroom machines. We request that you use either Mettler or Aurafil thread on classroom machines.

Bring lunch (we have a fridge and microwave) or order out from one of the many fine restaurants on Main Street. Coffee, tea, water, and soft drinks are complimentary.

It is important to be on time for class. We recommend that you arrive 10 minutes before the class start time. If you arrive earlier please be aware that your instructor will not be available until the class begins.

Please do not park on Main Street in front of the shop when you are here for a class.

Please silence your cell phone while in class. If you need to make a phone call during class, we ask that you step outside or to the back of the store where it’s quiet so that other students are not distracted.

Youth classes are for students 8-16 years of age. Youth members may take the adult classes with instructor approval.

Except for nursing infants up to 12 months of age, children may not attend classes with parents.
