How does it work?
You will have a card that’s kept at the shop. The card has six boxes on it. Each time you shop, pull your card from the wooden box on the front counter. We record your total purchase amount (before tax) into one of the six boxes. When you fill all six boxes you receive 5% of your total purchases in the form of a reward certificate that is mailed to your home.
What qualifies for the loyalty program?
Full price merchandise including fabric, notions, patterns, books, gift-type items, classes, sewing machine accessories (bobbins, presser feet, etc.), and sewing machine service/repair/parts. You do not earn credit for sewing machines, sewing room furniture, clearance/sale items, finished store samples, or when using a discount card, coupon, or a loyalty program reward certificate.
Can I fill a box when a friend from out of town shops with me?
Yes. If you have a friend or relative visiting and they shop in the store, at your request we will fill one of your boxes with their purchase amount. The only restriction is that they must live more than 150 miles from Cortez and choose not to have their own card.
What about expiration dates?
No expiration dates! Once you have a card in the box it stays in the box. In addition, the reward certificates you receive in the mail never expire.
What can I use my reward cards for?
Reward certificates may be used for anything we sell, including sale/clearance merchandise, sewing machines, and furniture. Redeem your reward certificates as soon as you receive them or collect them to apply to a large purchase. You are responsible for keeping up with your certificates and they must be present to redeem.

All sales final on fabric, thread, patterns, books, software, sewing machines, and furniture.
Store credit given for paid classes if you cancel and give 48 hours notice (otherwise, no credit).
Refund or store credit (your choice) given for classes if we cancel due to lack of sign ups.
