Happy Holidays!

Christmas is right around the corner and we hope you are enjoying each and every day leading up to the holiday. We're busy here at Cortez Quilt Company helping our wonderful customers with last-minute projects and we're deep in to planning lots of exciting events and classes for 2015 (more on that below). Here's a little bit of what you will find at the shop for the rest of this year.

Starting today ALL of our holiday fabric, kits, and patterns are 40% off. Yes, you read that right. Forty percent! One yard minimum on bolt fabric.

This Wednesday, December 17 from 1-4 p.m. is our third and final FREE holiday class. Cyndi Foote will teach you how to make this cute, quick, and easy holiday apron. Great for a hostess gift! This class does require a pattern, but it's only $2.50. We have tea towels in stock for $5. Call us at 970-565-7541 to reserve your place in class.

We're having a huge sample sale. As you know, we make all of our own samples here at Cortez Quilt Company. Well, we're running out of room and many of them need to find good homes. Stop by (or send your friends who are not quilters and who need great holiday gifts) to check out the large selection of samples that are marked down 20-40%.

Sewing Room Furniture

We have ONE new Tailormade cutting table in stock that's ready for someone to take home for Christmas! This table is such a great value at only $798. It has storage on both sides and folds up when not in use to fit into a small space. Call or come by today if you've been eyeing one of these. Upcoming Events

Third Thursday Demo – December 18, 12:30 p.m. OR 5:15 p.m.

Karen will demonstrate a new tool called Scrap Crazy Templates. Use your scraps and this ruler set to make 8-inch blocks. You can create an elegant, symmetrical quilt or get creative with a crazy quilt look. Great options for embellishing, too.

On Third Thursday we will also unveil the details about our upcoming Postcard Party. This is a nation-wide event that’s sure to be fun. We'll have two days set aside in January for you to come in and make unique fabric postcards that will be exchanged with other quilters from all over the country.

What's New?

We recently received a few wool kits which are great for when you're in the mood to do hand work. The pin cushions and table mats are darling. If these prove to be popular we'll expand the selection. You get to vote!

We're also experimenting with FLANNEL wide backs. Flannel is a warm and cozy option for quilt backs and great because it keeps your quilts from sliding off the bed! We'll see how this goes and if it's a hit with our customers we'll order more.

Beginning on December 18 (this Thursday) and running through December 31 receive 25% off any BERNINA accessory priced up to $500. Now is the time to invest in that presser foot or embroidery hoop you've had on your wish list!
