WE CARE ABOUT YOU!

We here at Quilted Corners and Cortez Quilt Company have been following the news of the Coronavirus just like you all have. We want to emphasize that we are doing business as usual, with all of our fun classes & events going on as scheduled. We also want to let you know that we take the health of our customers and staff very seriously, so in accordance with CDC and other health professional recommendations, we have instituted the following protocols:

We have always thoroughly cleaned our stores, however we are now cleaning our frequently utilized areas (register counters, bathrooms, beverage areas) multiple times per day.  This also includes our commonly used instruments (pens, rotary cutter, rulers, etc)

We are cleaning the classroom tables and chairs after every use.

We are washing our hands multiple times per day and have hand sanitizer available for staff and customers.

We have directed our employees to stay home if they are, or think they may be sick.

Finally, we ask all of you to stay home if you are, or think you may be sick.

If you may be sick, but need something from the store, feel free to call in and place an order. We will gladly meet you curbside to get you your items.

All evidence is pointing to this passing quickly once the warmer weather hits, but until then, we appreciate any and all courtesy on your part to help us make sure that ALL of our customers and staff remain healthy.

WE'VE BEEN CHALLENGED!

KimberBear Challenge

Kimberbell has created a stuffed bear design that can be made either in the embroidery hoop, or with your sewing machine. Kimberbell's hope is that we will use this design to create these stuffed bears to give to children in challenging situations ...a friend that they can love and hug. These can be donated to hospitals, foster homes, or any other setting that will help children going through trying times. These can also be given as gifts in nursing homes. The goal is to see how many of these we can make and distribute throughout the community to those who will most benefit from them.

Cortez Quilt Company has challenged Quilted Corners to see which store can produce the most of these adorable bears. They have chosen the Child Advocacy Center to donate theirs to. We have yet to determine which organization(s) to donate to, and would appreciate any suggestions. What we would REALLY appreciate though is for all of our ladies to come together with us to produce many more of these bears than the ladies in Cortez could possibly produce. If you would like to make some of these in the hoop, but do not have an embroidery machine, stop by the store and we’ll set you up with a demo machine so that you can make one, or more!

Let’s show the community how much love can come from a sewing machine!
