BIG NEWS

We are excited to announce that we are officially going to be opening another store in Farmington, New Mexico! We will be located at 3030 E Main St Suite A2 in the San Juan Plaza near the Stage and Staples stores.

Our store name in Farmington will be Quilted Corners, and we will be offering BERNINA sales and service, as well as servicing all other makes of sewing machines. We will also be offering classes, and have space enough to host large events and retreats. We hope to be opening the beginning part of November. We will be painting and constructing in the early days of being open, in preparation for eventually growing into a full-service quilt store. Of course, if you need your machine serviced, feel free to drop it off, whether in Farmington or Cortez, as business in Cortez will continue as normal. Also, if you aren't already, sign-up to receive the newsletter so that you can keep track of the activity in Farmington. Classes that will be offered immediately in Farmington will be "Intro to Rulerwork," "Beginning Quilting," "Embroidery," and we will host a Holiday Kimberbell Event.

So, be sure to warm up your machines, invite your friends, and purchase a class pass so that you can join in on the fun and get to know your fellow quilters, and quilt shop owners, better!

Once upon a time,
there was a faraway land called the Enchanted Realm. The people of the land got along harmoniously for many centuries…
That is until Queen Black gained control of the Silver Tree Forest.
It was not long before happy endings turned into nightmares, as the ruling Kingdom of Gillyshire suffered repeated attack, and the villains began to gain control. The mystic mountains filled with nefarious monsters and were no longer safe, and wicked witches took over the charmed forest.

Queen Black has shocked the realm, and has invited all of the territories to the Dark Castle of the Silver Tree Forest to sign a peace treaty.
She may have evil intentions.
Nonetheless, you have been invited by Queen Black.

This is where your story starts….

CHARITY OPPORTUNITY

In November, there is a group of people from the Cortez area that will be traveling to a small country in southeast Asia for a missions trip. One of the things they will be doing while they are there is reaching out to women and giving them reusable pads. The original plan was to reach out to 100 women and give them 4 pads each. This group just received an email asking them to reach out to 200 women, even if that meant only giving them 2 pads each. They have determined to still have the original goal of 4 per person, and now must quickly make another 400 pads.

This Saturday, October 12th at 10am, at the Arriola Bible Church, a group of women have planned a work day of cutting, sewing and bagging the pads to help achieve this goal. If you prefer to help out by making some in your own home, that would also be appreciated.

For more information, please contact Emily Cole at 970-394-9301.

NEW FABRIC

It is a bright summer morning on the farm - the roosters are crowing, the sun is shining and the table is set for breakfast with a well-loved checkered tablecloth. Early Bird, with chickens, eggs, newspaper clippings, woodgrain and the ever-important chicken wire will make a perfect picnic quilt - but why stop there? The collection also lends itself to curtains, table runners, placemats and napkins. Pairs beautifully with Artisan Cotton.

Sip and Snip by Connie Haley is a bright and fun, digitally-printed, wine-inspired collection that features an artsy style with all things wine, including quirky phrases.
