1st Anniversary Celebration

Be sure to come celebrate our 1st Anniversary with us! We want to thank you for your loyalty and friendship – it means so much to all of us here at Cortez Quilt Company and More! We will be serving lunch, we have entertainment planned, and of course cake! And we might have a couple of surprises for you while you shop! This is a family friendly event…. however we do request RSVP’s so that can plan for you. We will have a western theme for this gala. |
1st Breakfast Club in July would fall on July 6th. We know many of our customers will be traveling, or celebrating with family still after the Fourth of July. We have cancelled 1st Saturday Festivities in July Don't Despair! Instead, we are having:Christmas In July!

Have you ever wanted to learn to sew? Now is your chance! We are participating in a nationwide initiative to teach people how to sew. It is a 6 week program (you can attend whichever classes you want). Our first class is on July 16th, from 6 pm - 8:30 pm. There is a $5 fee/class and any additional supplies will be available for under $20 per class. We have sewing machines that you can use during your class. Check out our main class page to see all six weeks of projects. Please call 970-565-7541 or come by to sign up!

Kits will include the use of all my paints, fabric, wadding and backing to do your project. This workshop is great for those wanting to learn new techniques and skills in textile arts. You will learn how to paint onto the fabric to create a nice background as well as the foreground picture of the cone flowers. You will also learn some basic quilting techniques and thread work, and to top it off you get to play with some bobbin work. |

As you know, when you come into Cortez Quilt Company we have maps of the
United States and the entire World. Customers love to mark where they are visiting from... and our local customers enjoy seeing where everyone is from also. We have shared stories and pictures of our quilting "pen pal" from Australia. We now have a friend from Holland! Dian, from Hilversum Holland visited us two years ago and took home one of our southwestern kits to remember her trip by. I am including pictures that Dian emailed to us a couple of weeks ago. All of us here love to see what you create with our fabric... whether from the Four Corners or Holland, or anywhere in between. Thanks again for sharing Dian! |
