Guest Educator: Shanna Stordahl
Sunday, April 23, 2017
1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
$35 (may be applied toward purchase of ruler set)

Join us for a Sunday afternoon workshop with guest educator Shanna Stordahl and learn to machine quilt using acrylic rulers and a unique presser foot. With this technique you can make beautiful, symmetrical designs on your quilts. Participants will use BERNINA 7 and 8 series machines as well as the Q20 sit-down long arm.

Attention BERNINA 7 & 8 Series Owners

BERNINA has released new firmware for both the 7 and 8 series sewing machines. Some of the features included are:

• New bootloader (runs first and loads everything else into the sewing machine)

• New feet recognized

• New stitches

• Minor fixes to some existing stitches.

Not all models have all of these updates. Visit the BERNINA site (support page) and click on your machine model. There you'll find information on what the update for your machine includes (release notes) and how to install the updates (download instructions).

It's recommended that everyone who owns a 7 or 8 series machine install the updates, and it is especially important for owners of 710, 750, 780 and 880 models and any 7 or 8 series machine purchased in 2014 or prior.

If you would prefer to have one of our certified technicians do your update for a fee of $25, please call 970-565-7541 to schedule a time for you to bring in your machine. Note: Our technicians always check for and install the latest firmware when servicing machines.

New Notions

The label says it's a "sewing machine in a bottle." Liquid Thread is great for applique, trims, hems, and more. Permanent, washable, dry-cleanable, non-toxic, and dries clear.

Love self-threading needles, but don't love how they come un-threaded if you pull just a bit too hard? Here's the solution. Side-threading needles. Package of twelve in a variety of sizes.

We finally found a finger presser roller that's made of real wood. Yay!
