Two New Kits Available

This beautiful quilt measures 96" x 100" (it's not all shown here because it's hanging on our wall and partially obscured by sewing machines). King size and it's only $199. For our out-of-town customers, we're offering FREE shipping through Friday, June 10 ONLY. Come by the shop or call today to get your kit!

The image of this 36" x 36" Christmas wall hanging doesn't do the actual quilt justice. Our sample is with the quilter and as soon as it comes back and we embellish it with the buttons, bows, and jingle bells that are included with the kit, it will be hanging in the shop. We only have 25 of these kits so if you love the holidays and love simple applique projects, get yours today for $69.

Knitting and Crochet Classes

Introduction to Lace Knitting
Saturday, June 11, 2016

1-5 p.m.

In Introduction Lace Knitting you’ll learn the simple elements used to create light and delicate scarves and shawls that intrigue every knitter. This class is designed for those who have mastered knitting fundamentals (casting on, knit and purl stitches, and binding off). You will need fingering or DK weight yarn (in a light color) and needles in size 4 or 5 to create a beautiful lace bookmark. Guest teacher Dana Jensen will be your instructor.

Knit Your First Sock
Thursday, June 16, 2016
1:00 noon – 5:00 p.m.
$39, includes supplies

The mystery around knitting socks will dissolve during this four-hour class in which you’ll make one small practice sock from top to toe. Then you’ll be on your way to sock-making heaven! Students for this class should know how to knit, purl, increase, and decrease (i.e., this is not a class for first-time knitters).

Give & Get Back - Ends Monday, June 13!

We participated in this program two years ago, and it was very successful. So happy that BERNINA has brought Give & Get Back back. The last time we donated several used machines to Renew here in Montezuma County. For this promotion, all donated machines will go to Sew Much Hope, a Utah-based organization that refurbishes machines and gets them into the hands of women here and the U.S. and around the world who use them to support themselves and their families.

So, through June 13, bring in any machine in any condition (even one that's not working) and save up to $500 on a new BERNINA.

Also, during this same time period, save 25% on ONE BERNINA accessory priced up to $500. If you've had your eye on one of the more expensive accessories (e.g., embroidery hoop, walking foot, binding tool), now's the time to act and save.

And there is more. We're offering 60-month zero percent financing on purchases of $3,000 or more (on approved credit, of course). Don't miss this event!

June Demo: Quick Trim Ruler

Save the date . . . our June Demos will be on Thursday, June 16 at 12:30 p.m. and repeated on Saturday, June 18 at 9 a.m. Judi Swain will demonstrate the many uses of the Creative Grids Quick Trim ruler.

Tip: Square Quilt Tops

We had a very nice group of quilters here on Saturday for Beyond Beginning, and two of them were putting borders on quilts. As I explained how to add borders to ensure that their quilts stayed square, I was reminded of a handout that's on our website. If you need a refresher course, download it now. Happy quilting!
